Kaizer Chiefs want ex-player back!

Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to resign a former player.

The AmaKhosi squad has experienced a complete revamp following seven signings in the winter and parting ways with key figures like Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat.

Another player who recently left the Soweto Giants is 20-year-old Puso Dithejane after the youngster was released for an altercation with a ball boy – now they want him back.

“There have been talks at the club and there were different views from different people at the club about letting Puso go and now they are looking at what happened as a mistake and they would want to have him back at the club,” SoccerLaduma reported.

Nabi’s after more players

Kaizer Chiefs are linked with several African stars, including Asanele Velebayi, Feisal Salum and Michael Olunga.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi has been vocal about his desire to bring in more attacking threats, even after the signing of seven players in the winter.

“Our squad has a lot of quality players. But I don’t think this is going to be the final squad. We are working on getting new players,” Nabi told FARPost.

“A big club like Kaizer Chiefs needs a high level of quality in all lines: in defence, middle and attack. You know it’s easier to look for a defender than a striker.

“If you need top players, you need to take your time. We continue with my staff and the committee to look for players,” the AmaKhosi manager added.

“So, you would need time to work hard to profile players. We work together to profile players in defence as I don’t have this opportunity for attack.

“We will continue with my staff committee to look. I need the strikers, and maybe if we have the wingers.”
