Kaizer Chiefs will be without key defender Inacio Miguel when they take on PSL rookies Magesi FC on Wednesday night.
Kick-off at Peter Mokaba Stadium is at 19:30.
This will be the first ever meeting between Magesi and Kaizer Chiefs in a competitive topflight match.
However, for Magesi, this will be their second biggest test yet after playing against another Soweto giant in Orlando Pirates.
Clinton Larsen’s charges met Pirates in the Last 16 of the Carling Knockout Cup, and they defied the odds by beating them 3-2.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO RING CHANGES TO BACK FOUR
Now, Chiefs will have to tinker with their usual back four after it Miguel’s one-match suspension was confirmed by the PSL.
The Angola international has accumulated four yellow cards since making his debut for Chiefs this season.
Miguel received his fourth yellow card of the season in last Saturday’s encounter against SuperSport United.
Now, his absence for the Magesi clash could see the return to the Chiefs starting line-up of Given Msimango.
Msimango, who was a regular last season, has been playing second fiddle to Miguel this term but he’s consistently made the bench.
And this could be his biggest chance to reclaim his spot in the starting line-up, and show Nasreddine Nabi what he can offer.
Meanwhile, Chiefs would somehow be relieved that Miguel is suspended for this encounter rather than the one on Saturday.
Amakhosi will be at home against Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarterfinals of the Carling Knockout Cup.
And Miguel will be available for selection, meaning Nabi will have his trusted soldier back for this crucial encounter.
He is NOT the only player that will be missing for Chiefs after the club confirmed Edson Castillo’s long absence due to injury.
