During a surprise performance in China, Kanye West officially announced his upcoming album Bully and treated the crowd to a sneak peek of his latest track, Beauty and the Beast.
KANYE WEST IN CHINA
The performance, which took place at the Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, marked a triumphant return for Ye. Kanye hadn’t performed in China for 16 years.
As the show neared its end, Ye dropped the exciting news, according to Hit Channel
“I’ve got a new album coming out. The album’s called Bully, and this song is called Beauty and the Beast“, he told the crowd. Naturally, fans went wild at the revelation.
KANYE WEST’S NEW SONG
Beauty and the Beast is a departure from some of Ye’s harder, more aggressive tracks.
The song features a soft, reflective tone, with Ye singing over a gentle instrumental, according to Daily Mail.
It’s a deeply introspective piece, and it’s already gaining attention for its heartfelt lyrics.
Lines like, “I still think about it every night and day to try to stay away, to keep my audience. Don’t take this disrespect, I’m sitting here trying to redirect,” give listeners a peek into Ye’s mind.
KANYE WEST’S SOUND
It revealed his struggles with resilience and redirection.
Long-time collaborator Mike Dean also chimed in on the track’s backstory, according to Royalty Exchange.
He explained that Beauty and the Beast was originally meant for Ye’s 2021 Donda album but didn’t make the cut.
“It was a leftover from Donda, but it feels right on Bully. It’s going to resonate with people,” said Dean.
KANYE WEST AND BULLY
While the buzz surrounding Bully is huge, fans are cautious.
Over the years, Ye’s albums have faced delays. His Vultures collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign, for instance, saw numerous pushbacks before it finally dropped.
“We’ve been here before, but I hope Bully comes on time,” commented one fan after the show.
Despite the potential for delays, the excitement for Bully is palpable.
Ye has a way of keeping his audience on edge, and Bully promises to be no different.
KANYE WEST’S DISCOGRAPHY
The inclusion of tracks like Beauty and the Beast only adds to the anticipation.
In addition to announcing Bully, Ye also performed 530, a song from Vultures 2, his recent project with Ty Dolla Sign.
It was the second performance on his China tour, which has been met with much excitement.
His return to the country is a big deal, as his last performance in China was 16 years ago.
VULTURES
Over the past year, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign have hosted listening events worldwide for their Vultures albums. They hit countries like South Korea and France.
For now, fans are left buzzing with excitement and hoping for more details on Bully.
Ye continues to keep his audience guessing, but one thing is certain – the world will be listening when Bully finally drops.
Whether or not it arrives on time, Kanye West remains one of the most unpredictable and captivating figures in music today.
As one fan put it, “With Ye, you never know what’s coming next. And that’s why we love him.”
