Katie Price has raised eyebrows as she spends £2,000 on two cats, after struggles with bankruptcy and backlash from the RSPCA.

Katie, 46, has revealed to her followers that she is now the owner of two more sphynx cats, worth £1,000 each.

On TikTok live the star showed off her new kittens and asked followers: ‘Can you see him? What are you all doing? Hey, what are you all doing down there?’

‘Hey, are you playing? Are you perming? They look so cute.’

Katie now owns five hairless cats including Dobby and Hagrid – who she reportedly tried to sell in 2017 because they didn’t get on with her dogs – and Daisy, a sphynx cat which she bought in September.

The reality TV star received backlash after her last pet purchase because several of her pets have died in her care.

Over the past six years, Katie has announced the deaths of five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon, sparking concern from fans and animal protection groups who want the star to stop buying animals.

Thousands have signed a petition and £5,000 has been offered to stop her from becoming an animal owner.

In her memoir This Is Me, released in July 2024, the Mucky Mansion revealed she had to put her sphynx kitten named Frog to sleep when he was still a kitten after he developed an incurable neurological disease.

‘He had a neurological disease. There was absolutely nothing I could do.

‘Within days it had spread through his body right to the point that he couldn’t even go to the toilet on his own,’ she detailed. ‘So I cuddled him in my arms and he had to be put to sleep. He was only five months old,’ she revealed in the book.

Katie also addressed the horrific death of puppy Rolo, a French Bulldog, who was crushed under an electric armchair a week after she gifted the dog to Princess, 17, for her 13th birthday.

In 2018, Katie’s dog Queenie was run over by a pizza delivery van, she revealed on Instagram at the time: ‘I’m absolutely devastated heartbroken my faithful loving family dog’s life Queenie has been shortlived as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling and left her to die.’

In February 2020, her Alsatian named Sparkle was hit by a car, the same way that one of her horses died in 2017.

Her German Shepherd, Blade, died last year after being hit by a car, months after her other dog Sharon met the same fate.

To replace Blade, Katie then adopted another Alsatian named Tank, who the Mucky Mansion star appeared to hit in a video that prompted widespread backlash. It was later reported that she gave Tank away to an electrician.

Katie also revealed that her son’s chameleon died of a broken heart after he moved out of the family home.

In addition to the enormous backlash facing the star around pet ownership, the star is facing bankruptcy – only resulting in further criticism for spending her money on more pets.

Katie was declared bankrupt for a second time in March 2024 over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000.

She was arrested at Heathrow Airport in August after an arrest warrant was issued in July because she skipped a court date to go on holiday for plastic surgery.
