LIST: Celebrities, online personalities running for gov’t positions in the 2025 elections

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) began receiving certificates of candidacy (COC) on Tuesday, October 1, for the 2025 midterm elections. 

Among those who have declared their election bid are several celebrities — from showbiz, social media, and beauty pageants. More than 18,000 elective seats are up for grabs for the local and national polls.

Based on the candidates’ official posts and various news reports, here’s a compilation of celebrities who are seeking elective posts.
