Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reportedly taken a decision on the immediate future of rising star Manqoba Ozoemena.
The 19-year-old Diski Challenge star, who travelled with the first team to Turkey for their pre-season camp, has left a lasting impression on Nabi.
Nabi however feels the youngster should be sent out on loan to continue his development journey.
According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are looking at potential options for the attacking midfielder.
Kaizer Chiefs youngster set for loan move
“The coach believes in Manqoba. He really likes the kid, but for now, he thinks he needs to gain experience hence the need for the team to send him on loan,” an insider told Soccer Laduma regarding Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Manqoba Ozoemena.
“You know he is just 19-years-old and he has a great future but they don’t want to throw him in the deep end without proper experience and the loan to a PSL side would help him develop further as a player and be ready for next season.”
In other news, Hugo Broos needs to rope a Kaizer Chiefs midfielder into his Bafana Bafana setup according to Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana.
Kekana has urged the national team coach to give one Amakhosi star a chance to prove himself at international level.
According to the legendary midfielder, Amakhosi’s Samkelo Zwane should form part of Bafana Bafana.
The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder earned a rare start in Chiefs’ Cufa Cup triumph on Sunday afternoon, leaving a lasting impression on Kekana.
Take a look at what the Mamelodi Sundowns legend had to say about the 22-year-old midfielder below.
Kekana heaps praise on Zwane
“I fancy young Samkelo Zwane to be the player that Kaizer Chiefs can rely on in terms of being on the ball more,” Kekana said as quoted by IDiski Times.
“This is a player that I believe this coming season he should be in the Bafana team because of the quality that he possesses.
“He knows how to play the longer and the shorter passes. He knows how to play in the half spaces. This is a player that I believe is complete and needs to be guided properly and they’ve got a nice coach in Nabi.”
Next three Kaizer Chiefs fixtures
The Amakhosi now enjoy a lengthy break before tackling SuperSport United on 26 October.
