Orlando Pirates planning SENSATIONAL SWOOP for PSL star

Orlando Pirates want Chippa United’s star player; what’s new?

According to reports, Goodman Mosele and Siphelo Baloni could be heading to Gqeberha in a swap (plus cash) deal that would see 24-year-old maestro Sinoxolo Kwayiba head the other way.

SoccerLaduma confirmed the rumours, reporting that “Pirates are the ones who have moved faster in trying to acquire the services of Sinoxolo (Kwayiba). The technical team has been impressed so far in what they have seen from the player and that’s why they want to involve a player exchange to influence the deal. It could be money plus players involved. But what I can tell you is that Pirates are in the forefront to get him.”

“As for Baloni he is currently at Chippa on loan from Pirates while Mosele is recovering from injury though the club has indicated that they would be willing to loan him out. So those are the players that Pirates believe they will use to persuade Chippa for the services of Sinoxolo [Kwayiba],” the source concluded.

The perfect signing?

The Buccaneers have equalled their best start to the season in club history with six successive wins – they lie first on the table, being the only team with a perfect record.

Jose Riveiro has his side clicking, scoring 12 goals and conceding only two in their 2024/25 PSL campaign, suggesting there’s no need to tinker with defence and attack.

Kwayiba would fit perfectly into the Orlando Pirates midfield, and the fact that they are willing to offer two players and money suggests they think the same.

The 24-year-old maestro has been one of Chippa United’s brightest sparks this season, showcasing his exceptional vision, ball control, and ability to dictate the tempo in the centre of the park.

His creativity and composure under pressure have not only caught the eye of Orlando Pirates but also earned him a well-deserved call-up to Bafana Bafana, cementing his status as a rising star in South African football.
