Orlando Pirates are willing to offer players and money for Chippa United’s main man.
According to reports, Goodman Mosele and Siphelo Baloni could be heading to Gqeberha in a swap (plus cash) deal that would see 24-year-old maestro Sinoxolo Kwayiba head the other way.
Rumours confirmed
SoccerLaduma confirmed the rumours, reporting that “Pirates are the ones who have moved faster in trying to acquire the services of Sinoxolo (Kwayiba). The technical team has been impressed so far in what they have seen from the player and that’s why they want to involve a player exchange to influence the deal. It could be money plus players involved. But what I can tell you is that Pirates are in the forefront to get him.”
“As for Baloni he is currently at Chippa on loan from Pirates while Mosele is recovering from injury though the club has indicated that they would be willing to loan him out. So those are the players that Pirates believe they will use to persuade Chippa for the services of Sinoxolo [Kwayiba],” the concluded.
The best time to sign top talent
Orlando Pirates head into the international break as lone leaders insinuating that now is the best time to buy.
A fortnight ago Sundowns’ coach Manqoba Mngqithi said he ‘hopes and pray’s they [Orlando Pirates] have the depth to carry themselves during the group stages and the league’.
Signing players like Kwayiba would do wonders to their roster, allowing the Buccanneers to contend till the end of the season.
Without a plethora of talent, teams rely heavily on avoiding injuries, but in truth, that’s the way the game goes – it’s something you can’t control but can be mindful of.
Historically, from Manchester City to Mamelodi Sundowns’, squad depth is the key to winning titles.
