Controversial music executive Nhlamulo ‘Nota’ Baloyi is making headlines after he was detained by the police against the backdrop of Itumeleng Bokaba’s rape allegations.
Taking it to X, formerly Twitter, the star revealed on 4 October that he had turned himself in after he was accused rape.
NOTA BALOYI DETAINED OVER RAPE ALLEGATIONS
Nota Baloyi posted, “Handing myself in at Randburg Police station & hoping for the best… Please keep me in your prayers. This is officially the worst day of my life so far!”
However, the star who downplayed the news last week revealed that he was detained. Unlike his first post, Nota Baloyi shared a photo of his detention form, captioning the post, “Peace.”
Nota Baloyi was detained earlier today. However, the photo of his detention form has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it was dropped online.
Fans and fellow celebrities quickly flood his comment section against the post.
Some comforted Nota Baloyi, while others advised him to go after the actress if she is cleared of the damning charges.
Reacting to the news, popular X user @StHonorable commented, “I hope you have taken note of both A’s on this paper. They’ll help you if you use them.”
Another user added, “I don’t wish this on anyone. Let’s pray for my goat.” Nota Baloyi undoubtedly joins a host of celebrities who have been detained for similar offences, including Jub Jub and Sjava.
NHLAMULO DENIES RAPE ALLEGATIONS CLAIM ‘IT WAS CONSENSUAL’
On 30 September, social media was abuzz after the TV star and singer accused music executive Nota Baloyi of rape.
According to reports, the actress opened a case of rape against the controversial music executive and content creator at Douglasdale police station.
Rumour has it that the incident happened at Nota’s place on 4 September earlier this month. However, contrary to the reports, Nota Baloyi has addressed the news in several interviews.
He admitted sharing the bed with the actress but made it known that it was consensual. Nota Baloyi even went on to leak their chats to prove his innocence.
He made it known that he was being blackmailed. In 2017, the actress contacted Nota Baloyi for contact details of one of the famous hip-hop stars.
Years later, the two started flirting, and house visits were initiated. “We were into [sic] a relationship, and she demanded that we go public about it. She also stated that she wanted to meet my parents.
“It happened in my house, and my nephew, who is 23, was there. This was our first encounter but not the first romantic one [sic],” Nota Baloyi told Sunday World.
