Pitso Mosimane praises Kaizer Chiefs star Gaston Sirino

33-year-old Uruguayan Gaston Sirino recently joined Chiefs on a free transfer after a glittering six-year spell with Sundowns. He won 11 trophies in his time at Chloorkop including seven league titles on the bounce. Here’s what Pitso had to say about the mercurial left-footer who has already weighed in with two goals and three assists in four matches for the Glamour Boys:

“Class is permanent. Top talent, loves training has a lot of passion for the game and is opinionated. A bit emotional but manageable. A South American player,”

“He scores goals and has lots of assists, a very crucial ingredient in an attacking player.”

Chiefs are out of the Carling Knockout after a chastening 0-4 defeat to Jingles’ former side Sundowns. Sirion started that match.

Jingles hits the Pro League

After having his Al Wahda contract ripped up after just 10 games, Pitso focused on family during Christmas 2023. He also discussed his short-term ambitions at the tail-end of what was an eventful year for Jingles. In 2024, he took up a short-term role with Abha Club in Saudi Arabia but they were relegated at the end of the 2023-2024 campaign. Now he’s got a new job!

According to Soccer Laduma’s source, the two-time CAF Champions League winner Pitso Mosimane will earn a mouthwatering R15 million per year—R1.25 million monthly—with the possibility of an additional R3 million in bonuses.

Bimenyimana is back after injury woes

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Caleb Bimenyimana’s professional career has already included several highs and lows. The tall Burundian didn’t make the grade at Naturena and left the Glamour Boys after a single season. He moved onto the Libyan side Al Ahli Benghazi but didn’t make a single appearance for them after sustaining a serious injury while away with his country. Although he’s still recovering from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury, the giant forward is signing with Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan. That’s via iDiski Times. Caleb will come up against Pitso Mosimane who’s recently signed as the manager of Esteghlal F.C. who are languishing in seventh with 13 points after 10 games.
