RUTH Langsford is reportedly dreading Christmas this year as she faces her first without husband Eamonn Holmes in over 20 years.
The couple, who announced their split in May, initially vowed to remain cordial, however things have soured since Eamonn went public with his new girlfriend, relationship counsellor Katie Alexander.

With the festive season nearly upon us, sources have said that Ruth’s not looking forward to this year, especially considering their 22-year-old son, Jack, is caught between his parents.
It’s believed Eamonn plans to spend Christmas with Katie.
“Ruth is dreading Christmas coming up, because it will be her first one apart from Eamonn – who could be spending it with his new partner,” a source told OK!
“This Christmas means creating different memories,” they added. “Ruth and Eammon are positively co-parenting Jack, but he’s at the age where he might want to do something different at Christmas, and that’s worrying Ruth.
“He’s no doubt hurting too, seeing his mum and dad go through this. However, Ruth knows people will be looking up to her and feel inspired about how strong she appears on the outside.
“She knows the first Christmas will always be the hardest, and she just wants to get through it.”
Both Ruth and Eamonn are extremely proud of their son, with Ruth previously telling Woman and Home Magazine that her greatest wish is “happiness”, calling him “delightful and caring”.
The pair had been together for 23 years and married for 14 before they shockingly announced they had gone their separate ways.
It was later revealed they had been secretly separated for up to a year before it was made public and they filed for divorce.
In the aftermath of their split, Ruth has been supported by her friends and family, and has even had a glamorous makeover.
She even shared videos of her enjoying a wild night in with bestie Rylan Clark.
Eamonn has since started a relationship with Katie Alexander, 42, with the couple being seen heading off on holidays to Ibiza together.
Insiders suggest Ruth came up with a special brand of revenge for Eamonn wasting no time in flaunting his new relationship by removing the stairlift from their Surrey home so he couldn’t collect his things.
She has now lawyered up with “fierce” divorce attorney, Catherine Costley in order to navigate a financial settlement and officially end their marriage.
