It’s been a whole year since South Africa celebrated the Springboks winning the Rugby World Cup – again!
The squad lifted the Webb Ellis Trophy in France on 28 October, which is also Bok Cheslin Kolbe’s birthday.
SA has won four World Cup titles – the most by any country in the world!
SPRINGBOK WAGS SHARE A PEAK AT WORLD CUP WINNING CELEBRATIONS
In several Instagram snaps, Springbok WAGS (wives and girlfriends) shared a look at their time in France during the World Cup.
The beautiful women enjoyed several weeks of touring the country, fine dining, watching theatre, partying up a storm, and celebrating the bridal shower of fellow WAG Holly Nichol (now Le Roux).
When it came to the World Cup victory against New Zealand’s All Blacks, there were plenty of celebrations to go around…
THREE WEDDINGS, SIX BABIES LATER….
Unbeknownst to South Africans, several Springbok WAGS were pregnant during the Rugby World Cup.
Since then, the wives of Eben Etzebeth, Faf de Klerk, Handre Pollard, Malcolm Marx, Pieter-Steph du Toit, and Makazole Mapimpi have given birth to the next generation of players.
Following the tournament, three players also tied the knot – Damian de Allende, Willie Le Roux, and, most recently, Manie Libbok.
Plenty of new faces have also joined the Springbok squad, after being called up by coach Rassie Erasmus earlier this year.
WHERE TO NEXT?
After a successful international test series, the Springboks will end of the year with a tour abroad.
Here’s who and when they will play next…
- 10 November: Scotland vs SA (Murrayfield, Edinburgh)
- 16 November: England vs SA (Twickenham, London)
- 23 November: Wales vs SA (Principality Stadium, Cardiff)
DO THE SPRINGBOKS HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE IT THREE IN A ROW?
