The Glasgow Warriors clinched a surprise 28-17 bonus-point win over the Stormers at Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Saturday afternoon.
In an open game, neither side were able to claim all-out ascendancy with the scores still deadlocked at 0-0 after the 30-minute mark. But the Warriors put the home team in a chokehold with a superb second half display to clinch a commanding victory on the road.
Sione Tuipulotu orchastrated Glasgow’s victory, with a masterful performance in midfield and was deserved named Man of the Match.
As for the Stormers, they had a couple of stand-out players, but all the attention and concern will be over the status of the injured Damian Willemse, who pulled up with what seemed to be a groin injury in the first half.
Damian’s injury will also be of grave concern for the Springboks, who are schedule to leave for Europe tomorrow for their three Tests against Scotland, England and Wales.

The game opened up in the second half with Tuipulotu wrecking havoc with one piercing run after the other. A try either way kept them locked at 14-14, before Manie Libbok slotted a penalty to put the Stormers back in front. But, that was to be their last points.
By contrast, the Warriors grew stronger and played with more urgency and determination towards to end of the game and their efforts were rewarded with two late tries to secure them an invaluable comeback win agains an out-of-sorts looking Stormers outfit.
