Sundowns captain enjoys win over Kaizer Chiefs

Mamelodi Sundowns are at the summit of the Betway Premiership, thanks to a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs away at the FNB Stadium.

KAIZER CHIEFS 1-2 MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

Ranga Chivaviro grabbed an early lead for Amakhosi, but Sundowns replied with two goals from Lucas Ribeiro and Iqraam Rayners to seal a 2-1 win.

Speaking to the media after making three saves to win the Man of the Match gong, Williams said the match was an enjoyable occasion.

“What an amazing game and I really enjoyed it. It was intense from both teams who wanted to win and at the end, we showed our quality,” Williams told his club’s media team.

“With the atmosphere and the crowd because both teams are doing well, it was going to be a big one and we were up for it. We were disappointed conceding so early but that was a good wake up call for the big boys to step up and show our quality,” Williams added.
