Proteas Test captain Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the second and final Test against Bangladesh as he continues his recovery from a left elbow injury.
While the right-hander has made significant progress in his rehabilitation, he will not be match-ready when the second Test gets underway on Tuesday, 29 October in Chattogram.
Aiden Markram will continue to lead the Proteas in Bavuma’s absence.
The Proteas didn’t miss Bavuma in the first Test which they won by seven wickets.
