Kaizer Chiefs forward Wandile Duba has praised the leadership qualities of the club’s new signing Inacio Miguel.
The 28-year-old Angolan international has brought calm and experience into the Amakhosi’s defence. Since he arrived at the club, he played all three Betway Premiership matches, scoring against AmaZulu last month.
Speaking to the media this week, Duba explained how Miguel’s leadership has made Kaizer Chiefs players push themselves.
“That one [Miguel] is a true leader, I’m not going to lie,” Duba told the media.
“He is so encouraging especially to us youngsters. He likes to see us do well, so he pushes us a lot. He’s a real leader and I’m not saying other players that are around are not leaders it’s just that he has his ways.
“If he sees you having a bad game, he comes to you and encourages you to keep pushing,” he said as per iDiski Times.
Duba praises Kaizer Chiefs new man Miguel
Duba has started the season well playing in all the three matches so far.
“I think coming from their former teams they knew they were coming to play for Chiefs, so they added that Chiefs mentality that makes you work hard and want to win,” he added.
Even before he played an official game for Amakhosi, Miguel’s former teammates hailed his leadership qualities. Duba is one of the many Kaizer Chiefs youngsters who will gain a lot from the Angolan international.
Amakhosi are in action next weekend against SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout Cup match. Before that, Nasreddine Nabi will have a Cufa Cup friendly match with Marumo Gallants this Sunday.
