Whymark scored 104 goals in 335 outings for Ipswich.

And he scooped two trophies with the club, first landing the Texaco Cup in 1973 before securing FA Cup glory in 1978.

Whymark remains Ipswich’s sixth-highest goal scorer in club history.

He was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame in 2012.

And the forward’s prowess up top saw him land one England cap against Luxembourg in 1977.
